Focus on what you eat, not whether your food is local

A lot of people would tell you eating locally can have lower carbon footprint and it's not about what you eat. In fact, transport is a small contributor to emissions when it comes to greenhouse gas (GHG)emissions across the supply chain. For most food products, it accounts for less than 10%, and it’s much smaller for the largest GHG emitters.

Of course we should beware of the country of origin of the products we are purchasing, but most importantly it is about consuming less meant products to lower our carbon footprint.
